Slowing Down

I'm a bad blogger. I have been so busy with my photography blog that I end up neglecting this blog. Maybe I'll get better for the bean gets here to actually post. We had our baby shower this past weekend. (Hopefully we'll get some pics soon) It was so nice to see all our friends and family. My nephews were the only kids that really attended and I'm so glad they did - - they are growing up way too quickly. Overall we got LOTS of stuff that we needed and now it looks like our house threw up baby stuff. Next on the list is to get organized and get some the things we still need. Best news of all is that we found a new cupcake venue. Oh my were there some yummy cupcakes at the shower. I ate two - - all by myself. :) Here's the update for this week:

How far along? 32 Weeks and 4 days (bean is the size of a honeydew or 4.5 lbs)

Total weight gain: about 18 total.

Symptoms: Heartburn mostly - and it sucks.

Stretch marks: Yes - even getting some on my stomach.

Sleep: I miss falling asleep and staying asleep - I also don't care for shifting side to side because my hips are fall asleep. Overall - - as long as I don't drink lots of water late at night - - I don't pee every 2 seconds.

Food cravings: Cereal for every meal. Still.

Maternity clothes: Mix and match for the most part.

Best moment of the week: Getting things crossed off the to do list.

Movement: All. the. time. It's like a kick drum or dance party in there.

Gender: Waiting until Decemeber.

Labor Signs: None that I am aware of

Belly Button: struggling to stay in.

What I miss: Beer. always beer. Oh, and running. And let's add bending over with ease. And today let's add good sleep - including on my stomach. (amen)

What I am looking forward to: meeting the new baby dr. :)

Dear Bean:
When did you get so big? I know it's getting tight in there, but do you mind not jabbing me in the ribs. I would also love to be able to sit or stand again - for long periods of time please. Otherwise, I am so proud to know you are in there getting ready for your entrance into the world in 7 short works. I would like to ask that you please stay put while you daddy is in Aruba on his corporate trip soaking up some last minute sun before you join us. After that, you are welcome to come even as soon as Thanksgiving if you wish. I promise I'll be a better mom and try to have your nursery set up in early November. October has been crazy with photo class and photo shoots - but I am so glad I get to have you along in my tummy. And bean, don't worry about me being scared to be your momma. I know that you are going to be the best thing that ever happened to me and to your daddy. We are both so excited and counting down the days until you get here.

Love,
Your over emotional Mama (and guitar playing Daddy)

p.s. I promise we are not going to name you Trank or Mary or even ice cream spoon even though your cousin Nathan who is three thinks that would be grand.
