This past week, it was brought to my attention that my favorite band will be headed my way in a few months. I read an article that summed up my emotion exactly on this upcoming tour and hopes of a new album.
"But honestly all it takes for me to get excited about a new Guster album is to know that it is being made. "
Just knowing they are headed here and that new songs will come with, makes me as excited as a guy watching adult videos. Yes, a little much for the TMI (to much information) visual, but this is Guster we are talking about here. I saw them back in the 90's when I walked up to the stage (only three of us were standing around to see them) and they were excited to know I heard of this Boston-based band down here in the south.
This was the band that I hung out with in Charleston during a day long festival. I saw them in multiple cities and venues and met awesome people because they sang wonderful music. I listened to them on long car rides to Orlando from NC and even when I broke up with a boyfriend to help deal with letting crappy things go. They remind me of the fall season when I was in college and then even out of college pretending to be in college at one of their campus events. They helped me celebrate a milestone birthday a few years ago. And I puffy heart my logo long sleeved Guster tee. So, when the email came about to say they would be here in my town, I raced online to get my ticket to have the chance to have yet another memory made of my favorite band. So needless to say (yes, I'm a dork) but a ticker should be added as the countdown to October begins.
