Are you gonna stay in there forever?

I'm one day away from my due date. The OB said I would go early and if I went today, she might be right. But then I don't trust her to predict the lotto numbers at this point. :) I'm where I am just ready. Even if that means freaking out after a few false contractions. I'm just tired of my phone ringing off the hook - especially friends who don't have kids and calling everyday. I know people care and want to know, but it doesn't help when I have no answers but the same ones as the week before. I can't make the kid come any faster - and believe me spicy food didn't work and neither did walking - so I am throwing in the towel and waiting for when this kid is ready to come out whenever that might be.

How far along? 39 weeks, 6 days

Total weight gain: I doubt anyone cares. :)

Symptoms: Heartburn

Stretch marks: Yes

Sleep: the best sleep is when the hubs isn't snoring my ear. :) Oh, and my body pillow is my BFF

Food cravings: Cereal for every meal. And peppermints.

Maternity clothes: I just feel HUGE these days. I can't really wear normal clothes anymore and all maternity.

Best moment of the week: hearing the heartbeat and hiccups on the Doppler at the Dr. office. made me smile.

Movement: lots of kicking.

Gender: Still don't know - DH says girl and I say boy.

Labor Signs: silly contractions but nothing to brag about.

Belly Button: not in or out - just there.

What I miss: Beer and having control of my body - I'm ready to have the kicking on my ribs to STOP.

What I am looking forward to: the bean arriving.

Dear Bean,
You are stubborn and as much as I can appreciate it since your daddy and I are the same way, we are both so ready to meet you. I know it's cold outside now in the Carolinas, but we promise that we have lots of blankets and warm clothes for you ready to go. All you have to do is come out little one. I am so thankful that you stayed in while your daddy was in Aruba, but now everyone is just waiting for you to get here. We have everything ready; bags packed at the door even. So instead of pushing up against my ribs, why don't you join us and please come out sooner than later if you don't mind. I personally didn't want to have you so close to Christmas but with everyday, I realize that you are the one that has to be ready. And if you still are not ready, it looks like the OB has set an eviction date for the following week. So ready or not little one, we can't wait to see you soon!

Love,
Your soon-to-be Mom and Dad
